Grianstad continues the exploration of sculptural form. By setting a number of parameters within the design process and experimentation through utilising the capabilities of the knitting machine it leads to new design outcomes. Materials such as wool, steel and yak allow for the discovery of new forms. Inspiration is drawn from prehistoric sites and by portraying site features and textures through knit, each pieces evolves organically, where surface pattern and structured motifs are part of the garments structure and form.
